Ambulatory Care Nursing: Triage, Transitions and Follow-Up

This course equips licensed nurses to make structured telephone and in-person triage judgments, recognize urgency, and escalate concerns through clinic protocols and the responsible clinician. It develops reliable handoffs, transition practices, medication reconciliation, plain-language education with confirmation of understanding, preventive screening and immunization workflows, and outpatient infection-prevention practices. Nurses also strengthen documentation, follow-up, and closed-loop test-result tracking to support patient engagement and ambulatory safety.
