Good to know
Nebraska uses a continuing-competency system. A common pathway requires 500 hours of nursing practice during the previous 5 years + 20 CE contact hours from an approved provider during the previous 2 years. Other pathways include recent graduation, an approved refresher course, or current national specialty certification. Beginning with 2025 renewals, non-peer-reviewed educational offerings are not accepted. (Nebraska DHHS)
