Required courses
RN: 30 CEUs per 2-year renewal period. LPN: 30 CEUs per 2-year renewal period. CE must meet Maryland's accepted-provider/approval requirements. Qualifying college coursework may also be used under the regulations. (Maryland Department of Health) Source: Maryland Board of Nursing regulations.
Good to know
Maryland does require CE for renewal. Current Maryland regulations provide for 30 CEUs during the 2 years immediately preceding renewal, subject to permitted alternatives/qualifying coursework. This corrects the earlier Fast CE master-page statement that Maryland has no CE requirement. (Maryland Department of Health)
