The Importance of the Presurgical Huddle

Healthcare organizations continually strive to enhance the quality of surgical care they provide. Still, surgical errors continue to persist, posing significant risks to patient safety. It is estimated that surgical errors are the primary cause of approximately 75% of surgical malpractice. Many of these errors stem from preventable issues such as miscommunication, interruptions, distractions, fatigue, and deviations from standard practices during emergencies.
