Connecticut Nursing Continuing Education Requirements
RN Requirements
- 2 hrs every 6 years of continuing education each renewal period
- once every six years
- (1) screening for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, risk of suicide, depression and grief, and (2) suicide prevention training — two contact hours
LPN Requirements
- 2 hrs every 6 years of continuing education each renewal period

APRN Requirements
- 50 hours of continuing education for advanced practice nurses

- Connecticut does not impose a blanket 20/30-hour CE requirement for RN/LPN renewal. However, actively practicing RNs and LPNs must complete the specified training during the first renewal period and at least once every 6 years thereafter.
